Camping Locations

Troop 93 has always made sure to incorporate as much of the outdoors in following with boy scouts founder Baden Powell who believed  “A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room.” We frequently travel to nearby scout reservations and camping locations in surrounding counties. In addition, the scouts have the opportunity to participate in high adventure trips to Philmont Scout Reservation, New Mexico, Northern Tier Located in Manitoba Rainy Lakes District near Lake Superior, Birchbark in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario Canada. Furthermore, there is great enthusiasm and participation in the National Jamboree held every four years at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia; as well as The World Jamboree held at varying international locations.

Website

The troop website was created in August of 2008 with a primary focus on high adventure. The troop website today has expanded to its own domain and continues the primary role as an informational resource for volunteers and scouts about upcoming troop events, documentation of  past campouts and repository of troop knowledge. The new website also includes a discussion forum for its members as well as event signups.
